How to Send Review Requests and Social Links from Conversations

Create a review or social-link template, insert it into an Inbox conversation and review the draft before sending.

Use Review & social to prepare a reusable review request or share a social-profile link with a customer. This sends a message to the customer; to answer a review already received, use Google Reviews in Inbox.

Prepare the template

  1. Open Conversations → Inbox, select the intended customer and confirm the channel and business line.
  2. Click + → Review & social. To create an item, click Add Review or Social Link Template.
  3. Enter a clear Display name. In Message, write your request and paste the correct review or social-profile URL. The display name helps your team identify the template.
  4. Use Insert tag only for contact details you maintain. If needed, enable Include an image and add a suitable image; the form identifies this as an MMS attachment.
  5. Review the preview and destination link, then click Save template. Saving creates the reusable item; it does not send a customer message.

Insert, review and send

  1. Find the saved template and click Select. Its message is inserted into the composer and the template window closes.
  2. Review the final text, link, personalized details, recipient, channel and business line. Edit the draft if needed.
  3. Click Send only when ready, or follow Schedule send to queue it for a future time.

Ask for an honest review without requesting a particular rating. Use the link for the correct business or location, and keep private customer information out of the message. A review request sent by SMS still needs the recipient’s permission for that message.

Reuse or change a template

Return to + → Review & social. Use Template options → Edit to update the saved item, or Delete to remove it after checking the confirmation. Deleting a shared template affects its availability to your team; it does not recall messages already sent.

To abandon inserted text without deleting the template, use + → Discard draft. For general reusable text, see Message Templates. If a message does not arrive, follow delivery troubleshooting.
