Managing Payment Methods
Add a card, understand Use always, manage a saved method and replace a payment method without assuming automatic backup.
Find the methods for your location
Select the correct location, then open Settings → Billing → Payment methods. This tab lists the methods saved for that location. Check other locations separately.
Add a card
- Click Add payment method.
- Enter the cardholder’s First Name and Last Name.
- Enter the Card Number, Expiration and CVV.
- Enter the ZIP Code of the card’s billing address.
- Decide whether to select Use always.
- Click Add method, then confirm the method appears in the list.
Use always requests automatic use for future payments. Leave it unchecked if your intention is only to save a method for manual selection. Saving a card does not by itself settle an outstanding invoice.
Manage a saved method
Open the method’s Actions menu. Use Use for Recurring Billing to select recurring use, or Stop Recurrent Billing to stop it. Review the status after the change.
If you need to remove a saved method, review the removal option and confirmation shown for that method. If it is used for Auto-Pay, set and confirm the replacement first. Contact support if the needed option is not available.
See How to Set Up and Manage Auto-Pay and Disabling Auto-Pay for the recurring-payment steps.
Replace an expiring or reissued card
- Add the replacement card.
- Select it for recurring billing if you use Auto-Pay.
- Confirm which method is now used, then remove the old one if appropriate.
- Check the next payment result.
You can keep more than one method on file, but an extra saved card is not a guarantee that the system will automatically try it after a decline.
Use a bank account where offered
ACH is offered through the invoice payment process where available, rather than the card form above. Choose the bank-account option and review the instructions and any save/recurring selection before confirming. If it is not shown, ask support about the options for your account.
If a payment is declined or unclear
Check the expiration date, billing ZIP and available funds. Look at Payments made and the invoice status before trying again. Ask your bank about a decline; contact Zonitel when the charge or invoice cannot be matched. Use the secure payment form for card information, not an email or support chat.
For a one-time invoice payment, see Making Manual Payments.
