Making Manual Payments
Paying an invoice yourself takes a minute from the billing screen. This guide shows you where to find your outstanding invoices, how to review the charges and pay with a card or bank account, where the receipt lands, and how due dates, the grace period and late fees work.
Paying an invoice yourself
If Auto-Pay is off, or you would rather review each bill before it is charged, you pay your invoices from the billing screen. It takes a minute once your payment method is on file.
Before you start
- An outstanding invoice.
- A card or bank account to pay with. See Managing Payment Methods.
Step-by-step
- Log in to your Zonitel Office Portal.
- In the left sidebar, expand Settings and click Billing.
- The top of the screen shows your Balance Due and how many Outstanding Invoices you have.
- On the Invoices tab, find the invoice you want to pay. Each row shows its number, due date, total and status.
- Open the invoice and review the charges before paying.
- Start the payment and choose your method: a saved card, a new card, or a bank account.
- Confirm the details and submit the payment.
After you pay
- The invoice status updates and your Balance Due drops.
- A confirmation is emailed to you. Keep it with your records.
- The payment appears under the Payments made tab, which is your payment history.
Paying more than one invoice
If several invoices are outstanding, pay them oldest first. The oldest is the one closest to a late fee, and clearing it protects your service.
Due dates, grace and late fees
- Each invoice shows its due date on the Invoices tab.
- A grace period applies after the due date before a late fee is added. Contact us if you need the exact terms for your account.
- An invoice left unpaid beyond that can incur a late fee, and continued non-payment can lead to service being suspended.
- If money is tight in a given month, call us before the due date rather than after. It is a much easier conversation.
Tired of doing this every month?
Auto-Pay charges your chosen method each cycle so nothing needs remembering. See How to Set Up and Manage Auto-Pay.
FAQ
Q: How soon does my payment show up?
A: Card payments post right away. Bank transfers can take longer to clear.
Q: Where do I find past payments?
A: On the Payments made tab.
Q: Can I pay without saving my card?
A: Yes. Saving it is optional, and only matters if you want to reuse it or turn on Auto-Pay.
Q: I think an invoice is wrong.
A: Contact us before the due date so we can look at it while it is still current.
