How to Set Weekly Availability, Slot Duration, and Blocked Dates in Zonitel Calendar

If you want your booking calendar to stay accurate, these four settings are essential:

  • Weekly Availability: defines the days and hours you are available.
  • Slot Duration: controls the length of each appointment window.
  • Blocked Dates: lets you mark holidays, vacations, or any unavailable dates.
  • Slots Per Booking: Number of consecutive slots per booking

Using these settings together helps your team stay organized and gives customers a smoother booking experience.


Step 1: Open the Calendar settings

  1. Log in to your Zonitel Office Portal.
  2. Click the Calendar icon on your top right.
  3. Open Calendar config and then the calendar you want to manage under the Options setting.
  4. Go to the scheduling or availability settings for that calendar.

Step 2: Set your Weekly Availability

  1. Locate the Weekly Availability section.
  2. Select the days your business accepts appointments.
  3. Add the working hours for each day.
  4. If needed, create different hours for different days.

Example:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

This controls when appointment times can appear as available.


Step 3: Choose your Slot Duration and

  1. Find the Slot Duration setting.
  2. Select how long each appointment slot should be.

Common examples:

  • 15 minutes for quick check-ins
  • 30 minutes for standard appointments
  • 60 minutes for consultations or detailed meetings

Choose a duration that matches the type of service your team provides.

     3. Select the Slots Per Booking (Number of consecutive slots per booking)

 


Step 4: Add Blocked Dates

  1. Open the Blocked Dates section.
  2. Click Add Blocked Date.
  3. Select the date you want to close.
  4. Add a note if needed, such as:
    • Holiday
    • Vacation
    • Staff training
    • Office closed

Use this feature any time you do not want appointments booked on a specific date.


Step 5: Save your changes

After updating your availability, slot duration, and blocked dates:

  1. Click Save.
  2. Review your calendar to confirm the schedule looks correct.
  3. Test the booking flow if needed to make sure unavailable times are not showing.
