Fax Line Settings and Notification Emails

Edit fax line names and notification recipients, and choose the Company or Personal default line used when composing a fax.

Open the settings for your fax lines

Go to Fax → Configuration. Each row shows the line’s Fax name, Number, Notification email, Default options and Edit.

Edit a name or notification email

1. Find the correct line and click Edit. The fax number identifies the line and cannot be changed here.
2. Enter a clear Fax name, such as Front Office. In Notification email, enter the recipients who should receive fax notifications. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
3. Click Save changes. Confirm the name and recipients in the Configuration list. Use Cancel to leave without saving.

The notification email field is optional. If you need email alerts, use a monitored mailbox or the appropriate team recipients. Each address entered receives the notification; review the list when responsibilities change.

Choose a default sending line

• Company: the default line everyone starts with. Changing it affects the company starting choice.
• Personal: your own default choice, which applies only to you.

1. In Configuration, find the line you want to use by default.
2. Choose Personal for your own preference, or Company when setting the shared company default.
3. Open Fax → Send fax and check From · Fax number before sending. You can select the appropriate available line for that fax.

Choose the scope deliberately: a Personal preference is for you; Company is the starting choice for everyone.

If an email notification is missing

1. First check Fax → Inbox to see whether the fax arrived. The absence of an email does not by itself mean the fax failed.
2. Check the addresses on the correct line, then review spam or junk folders and any mailbox filtering.
3. If alerts still do not arrive, contact support with the fax line, date/time and the expected notification address. Share fax documents only if needed for the investigation.

Need another fax number? Contact support; Edit fax line changes the name and email settings, not the number.
