Understanding Your AI Wallet
The AI Wallet pays for your AI features, separately from your phone service invoices. This guide explains the difference between plan balance and Extra balance, how to choose a plan, top up, set Auto-Recharge so agents never stop mid-conversation, and where to check every charge.
What the AI Wallet is
The AI Wallet is what pays for your AI features. Your plan, your balance and every charge sit on one screen, separate from your regular phone service invoices.
Open it from the left sidebar: expand Settings and click AI Wallet.
Two kinds of balance
This is the part worth understanding, because they behave differently.
Plan balance
A monthly plan gives you a balance that covers your AI usage — replies, texts and call analysis — and renews automatically each cycle. The Available right now figure shows what is left in the current cycle.
Extra balance
Extra balance is topped up whenever you choose, and it never expires. It is used automatically once your plan balance runs out, so it works as a safety net rather than a separate pot you have to switch to.
You can use Extra balance without a plan at all, which suits anyone trying the AI features before committing to a monthly plan.
Choose a plan
- On the AI Wallet screen, click See plans.
- Pick the monthly plan that matches your expected usage.
- Confirm.
Plans renew automatically, and you can switch or cancel at any time.
Add extra balance
- Click Buy more extra.
- Choose an amount, or enter your own.
- Select the payment method to charge. If you have no card saved, use Add payment method first.
- Click Confirm and charge.
The charge is immediate and the balance is available straight away.
Set up Auto-Recharge
Auto-Recharge tops you up on its own so an agent does not stop mid-conversation.
- Click Set up auto-recharge.
- In When total balance drops to, set the level that triggers a recharge.
- In Recharge with, set the amount to add to your Extra balance each time.
- (Optional) Add emails under Notify these emails so the right people know when a recharge happens.
- Click Save.
The screen shows whether Auto-Recharge is currently on or off.
Check your charges
Billing history at the bottom of the screen lists every charge to your card — plan payments and extra top-ups alike — with the date, amount, concept and status. That is the place to look when reconciling an AI charge.
For usage rather than charges, the Usage Report link at the top shows where your balance is going.
Keeping your agents running
- Turn on Auto-Recharge if you rely on AI agents for live conversations. Running out mid-conversation is the one failure customers notice.
- Keep a valid card on file. An expired card stops both plan renewal and auto-recharge.
- Check the Usage Report in your first few weeks, when it is easiest to pick the wrong plan size.
- Remember Extra balance never expires, so topping up ahead of a busy period costs you nothing.
