Automatically Create Contacts from New Calls or Messages
Keeping your contact list updated manually can be a time-consuming task. With Contact Event Settings in Zonitel Office, you can automatically create a new contact when a new phone call or message arrivesâkeeping your inbox organized and enabling your team to follow up more efficiently. This article shows you how to enable it, verify itâs working, and turn it off anytime.
Step-by-step: Turn on automatic contact creation

Log in to your Zonitel Office Portal.

Go to Numbersâ Contacts open Config.

Enable one (or both) of these options:

Create contact on call (creates a contact when a new call is received/made)

Create contact on message (creates a contact when a new SMS/MMS is received/sent)

Click Save.

Test for calls

From an external phone, call your Zonitel number (or place an outbound call from your extension).

Go to Numbers â Contacts (All Contacts).

Search the callerâs phone number and confirm a new contact was created.
