Connect GoHighLevel to Zonitel

Connect your GoHighLevel location, choose contact import permissions, and link calendars from Zonitel.

Connect one GoHighLevel location to bring contacts into Zonitel, show your team the CRM information for an incoming caller, and link your booking calendars.

Before you start

You need access to the GoHighLevel sub-account you want to connect and permission to create a private integration there. The location ID and token must belong to that same sub-account.

The token in this guide is created in GoHighLevel. It is different from a Zonitel API credential. If you are building your own application against the Zonitel API, use Private Integrations.

1. Prepare the GoHighLevel token

1. In GoHighLevel, switch to the intended sub-account. Note its Location ID from that location’s address bar.
2. Open Settings → Private Integrations → Create new integration. Give the integration a recognizable name and choose the permissions needed below.
3. Create the integration and copy the token while it is displayed. Keep it private; the token is shown once.

Choose permissions for the functions you will use:

• contacts.readonly: read contacts and the caller’s tags, source and custom fields. This is needed for importing and the caller card.
• contacts.write: allow booking to create the customer in GoHighLevel when that customer does not exist. Contact import itself only needs read access.
• calendars.readonly: list the location’s calendars so you can link them.
• calendars/events.readonly: read existing appointments.
• calendars/events.write: book, move or cancel appointments.

2. Connect the location in Zonitel

1. Open Settings → Integrations → GoHighLevel → Manage in Zonitel Office.
2. Enter the Location ID and Private integration token. Expand How to get this token in GoHighLevel if you need to review the permission instructions.
3. Decide whether to enable Import contacts from GoHighLevel, then click Save.

If a token is already saved, leave the token field blank to keep it. Enter a new token only when you intend to replace the saved one.

3. Import contacts when you are ready

1. If you want contacts copied into Zonitel, enable the import option and save the configuration.
2. Choose Test import (first 100) and review the results in Contacts. This performs a real import of up to 100 contacts.
3. When the results are correct, use Import all to import the remaining contact list in the background.

Contacts without a phone number are skipped. Contacts you already have are linked rather than duplicated. Allow the background process to finish before checking the results again.

Caller information and calendars

The import checkbox controls importing. The caller card can show what the connected GoHighLevel location knows about the caller even when that contact has not been imported. The connection still needs the contact read permission.

Calendar linking is configured separately. Open Calendars using the link on the GoHighLevel settings page, then choose which Zonitel calendar should connect to which GoHighLevel calendar. Grant the calendar permissions needed for the actions you want to use.

If something is missing

• Caller card or contact list is empty: confirm the location ID, token and contacts.readonly permission.
• No calendars appear: check calendars.readonly and confirm you selected the correct location.
• Appointments cannot be created or changed: review the calendar link and calendars/events.write. Creating a missing customer also requires contacts.write.
• Some contacts were not imported: check whether they have phone numbers and whether the import is still running.

Start with a small import and verify the selected calendar before using the connection with your full workflow.
