Why Your 10DLC Campaign Was Rejected and How to Fix It

Why Your 10DLC Campaign Was Rejected and How to Fix It

Find common 10DLC registration rejection reasons, correct consent evidence, policies and message samples, and prepare a complete review request.

A rejected 10DLC registration means your business texting program needs review before it can be activated. A campaign describes how your business uses US local numbers for messaging; it is not limited to bulk promotions.

First, obtain the exact rejection notice and campaign reference from Zonitel. A failed individual SMS is a separate issue: use the delivery guide linked below.

1. Read every reason
2. Correct the evidence
3. Request another review

Common reasons and what to correct

Reason What to check How to correct it
Business identity does not match Legal name, tax ID/EIN, business details and public brand. Use the records of the business actually sending messages. Explain a different trade name; do not substitute an agency’s identity.
Opt-in is unclear or cannot be verified Where customers agree to texts and what they see. Provide the actual form URL, written form, keyword advertisement or applicable script. Explain every signup method and show the full consent wording.
Consent is forced or bundled The SMS choice on the real signup form. Make SMS consent clear, optional and separate. Use an unchecked choice. Follow the consent requirements in our compliance guide, especially for marketing.
Privacy policy or terms are missing Working links, program identity and consistency with the signup form. Publish accessible, program-specific policies. Protect mobile opt-in data from third-party marketing sharing; the wording must reflect your actual practices.
Purpose, samples or attributes conflict Registered use cases, example texts, links and embedded phone numbers. Describe the real program and provide matching samples for each use case. Identify the business and include opt-out instructions in at least one sample.
Welcome, HELP or opt-out responses are incomplete Business identity, support contact and unsubscribe confirmation. Align the responses with the registered program. Confirm the unsubscribe and stop further program messages; see our opt-out guide.
Website or business is not eligible An inaccessible site, inconsistent identity or restricted activity. Fix access and factual inconsistencies. Review Zonitel’s content policy. Ask our team about eligibility before resubmitting; do not disguise the business or change its classification just to pass.

Send the correction in three steps

  1. List every issue. A notice can contain several reasons. Match each reason to the affected form, policy, sample or registration field.
  2. Fix the real customer experience. Update the live pages and registration together. Send Zonitel the campaign reference, exact notice, corrected links and a short explanation of each change. Hide customer information in screenshots.
  3. Wait for review and activation. Our team will confirm the appropriate correction or review path. Do not submit unchanged information repeatedly. Preliminary acceptance does not mean every review is complete.

Before sending, confirm that the campaign is active and the intended business number is correctly associated and enabled. Approval does not guarantee delivery. Toll-free messaging follows a separate verification process.
