How to Send and Find Images and Files in Conversations
Attach supported media to an individual conversation, review it before sending and find shared items in Media & Docs.
In an individual conversation, the attachment tools help you share supported media without leaving Inbox. What you can send depends on the selected channel and its attachment validation. For SMS conversations, an image uses MMS when supported.
Attach an image or supported file
- Open Conversations → Inbox and select the correct customer's thread.
- Confirm the channel and business number above the composer.
- Click the paperclip (Attach file), or open + → File.
- Select the file from your device. Follow any file-type or size validation shown by the composer.
- Wait for the attachment to appear and review the selected item before sending. Check that it contains the intended content and no unrelated personal information.
- Add the accompanying message if needed, then review the recipient again.
- Click Send once and inspect the result in the conversation.
Do not assume every document or media format is supported on every channel. If an attachment is rejected, use a supported version or format according to the on-screen validation. The limits in Group MMS apply to that separate composer and should not be assumed to apply here.
Find previously shared media
- Open the relevant conversation.
- Click Media, docs & links in the top toolbar.
- In the Media & Docs window, use Media for images/media and Docs for available documents.
- Select an available item to inspect it, or close the window to return to the conversation. An empty tab means no items are listed there for that conversation.
If an item is missing
Make sure you opened the right conversation, channel and business line. Check the thread around the send time. A selected attachment or preview is not proof that it was sent or delivered. Follow delivery troubleshooting if the recipient does not receive it.
If you decide not to send prepared content, open + → Discard draft and check that the composer is clear. This does not delete files already sent in the history.
For sending the same images to several recipients, use Group MMS. For finding a message by its text, see searching and organizing Inbox.
