How to Enable Missed Call SMS Auto-Reply in Zonitel

When a customer calls, and you miss the call, Zonitel can automatically send an SMS reply to acknowledge the call and guide the customer on what to do next (reply back, call again, leave details, etc.). This helps you recover missed opportunities, improve response time, and deliver a better customer experience—automatically.

Step-by-step: Enable Missed Call SMS Reply:

  1. Log in to your Zonitel Office Portal.

  2. Go to Numbers > Phone Numbers.

  3. Under Actions, click Edit for the number you want to configure.

  4. Find Missed Calls - Text Message option.

  5. Enter the text message you want to send automatically to callers when you miss a call.

  6. Click Save.

You can select specific reply messages between business hours and Text Message Out of Business Hours. Just Configure Business Hours to let the system know which message to send.

That’s it! Every time you cannot answer the phone, the caller will receive an SMS automatically. 

Text examples:
“Sorry, we couldn’t take your call. We’ll call you back shortly. How can we help?”
