Call Park: Put a Call on Hold for Your Team
Learn how Call Park lets your team share a waiting call, tell a teammate where to find it and retrieve it using the Park control configured for your business.
Call Park places a call in a shared waiting location so a teammate can retrieve it from another configured phone. It is useful when you know who should help the caller but not which phone they are near.
Before you start
Your business must have Park access configured on the phones involved. If you cannot identify the Park control, ask your administrator or Zonitel support which one to use. Its label and appearance depend on your setup.
Leave a call for your teammate
- Tell the caller you will place them on hold. Explain that a teammate will continue helping them.
- Use the Park control configured for your business. Wait for confirmation that the call is parked before you hang up. If you are unsure, do not simply hang up.
- Tell your teammate the Park label shown. They need to identify the same shared waiting location, especially when several calls are parked.
- Your teammate retrieves the call using the matching Park control. Their phone must have access to that waiting location. Once connected, they can greet the caller and continue the conversation.
How is it different from Hold?
Hold normally keeps a call waiting for you to resume on your phone. Call Park makes it available at a shared location for another configured phone to retrieve.
If nobody retrieves the call
Do not leave the caller waiting indefinitely. Coordinate with your teammate and retrieve the call if needed. Any automatic return or timeout destination depends on your business configuration; there is no single waiting time to assume.
