Need to transfer your number?

Learn how to transfer your phone number to Zonitel, which types of numbers can be ported, how long the process takes, and the best practices to stay connected during the transition.

We’ve got you covered

Zonitel makes it easy to transfer your existing phone numbers so you can keep doing business without disruption. We support number porting for most toll-free, wireless, and landline numbers in the United States and Canada, as well as select international numbers.

What numbers can be ported?

You can port most:

  • Toll-free numbers

  • Mobile (wireless) numbers

  • Landline numbers

In many cases, there is no cost to our customers for porting their numbers to Zonitel.

How long does the porting process take?

The number transfer process typically takes 1–2 weeks. The exact timing depends on how quickly your current provider releases the phone numbers.

While this is happening, your service does not need to stop.

Stay connected during the transition

As a best practice, we recommend selecting temporary phone numbers from Zonitel during the porting process. This allows you to:

  • Forward calls from your existing numbers

  • Stay reachable without interruptions

  • Test your new setup in advance

One of our experts will guide you through the entire process and help you choose the best setup for your business.
